PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

AMENDMENTS TO ZONING ORDINANCE

TOWN OF RICH SQUARE

The Town of Rich Square Board of Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, June 4, 2026, beginning at 5:30 PM at the Rich Square Town Annex located at 112 E. Jackson St. in Rich Square, North Carolina, to consider the following:

1.      Amendments to the Town’s Zoning Ordinance relating to creating Article VIII, Sign Regulations in lieu of the current sign provisions contained in Article VII under Section 7.7. The new regulations will provide more comprehensive definitions, descriptions, and clearer rules.

2.      Amendments to Article VII, General Provisions, of the Zoning Ordinance adding a new Section 7.9, Temporary Uses, to define the purpose of the regulations, types of uses, exempt temporary uses, and what requires temporary use permits.

Please note due to budget cuts, there will be no free bulk pickup in April. Residents who need items removed should contact Town Hall to sign up for private pickup at $50 per truckload.
